Hello! :)

Grateful to be sharing space with you.

My name is Emily and I am a postpartum doula, advanced practice nurse, friend, and mother.

When I look back on my career, the brightest moments have been those when I’ve cared for birthing folks and babies. It’s been my gravity. My first role as nurse was in neonatal critical care - supporting new babies in their first moments of life, guiding new parents as they navigated feeding, skin to skin, and fostering confidence and clarity in the setting of the unexpected and difficult. Many moons and a few degrees later, I now practice as a nurse anesthetist on the labor delivery floor - placing epidurals, swooping in for support during emergencies, and creating safe, calm, and empowered spaces for my patients.

Over time I sort of organically fell into doula work, serving as a support person for my dearest friends as they prepared for their birth, bringing this same calm and safe energy into their home as they labored, and nurturing them as they moved through their postpartum season. I am so honored to now be able to offer this support to you.

In these early days, a postpartum doula can change the entire energy of your home - holding space for you to rest, nurturing your body and spirit, listening to you as you reflect on your birth, and supporting you through all of the newness - because whether this is your first babe or your last, there is always newness. Welcome to your next chapter. You belong here.
